Moisture-resistant TV for the pool, bath, or sauna

What kind of TV should you put in the sauna, bath, or pool?

Baths and swimming pools are naturally associated with high humidity, as water constantly evaporates and circulates. The same applies to any type of sauna, whether a Finnish sauna or a Turkish hammam. Humidity levels in these spaces typically range from 60% to 65%, making it essential for any bathroom, sauna, or pool TV to have moisture-resistant components. Another reason to choose a waterproof TV is protection against accidental water splashes during steaming or swimming. Standard TVs are prone to water damage and malfunction in such environments.

Below you can see a video of an AVEL waterproof TV being tested in a steam room. The TV was tested in real-life conditions for more than two hours, during which time it worked without any issues. The quality of the TV image and its audio were both preserved in conditions of high humidity (with the steam generator on) and at high temperatures (more than 80 degrees).

Installation can be done using a VESA mount or by building the TV into the wall. Both options provide excellent protection, as our TVs are IPx4 certified and feature a tempered glass front panel. They can be safely installed in any wet area, whether it’s a swimming pool, bathroom, or near a sink.

We also recommend integrating additional ventilation when installing our waterproof TVs. This helps cool the TV’s frame and tempered glass, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

In what size should you choose a moisture-resistant TV for the sauna or pool?

The size of the waterproof TV for the bathroom, sauna, or swimming pool should be chosen based on the room size and the distance of the viewer from the TV, and the optimal distance for watching TV varies depending on the screen size.
