AVEL has been producing its built-in TVs in its own manufacturing facility since 2012. Today, these products are sold across the United States, Australia, and many EU and Eastern European countries.
Available screen sizes include 23.8″, 32″, 43″, 47″, 55″, 65″, and 75″. Thanks to their unique features, high image quality, wide range of smart functions, and overall ease of use, AVEL built-in TVs remain in high demand. They are cost-effective, simple to operate, and blend seamlessly into any interior.
How AVEL TVs Became Water-Resistant
The entire AVEL built-in TV line is designed for safe use in high-humidity environments such as bathrooms, kitchens, spas, and even saunas. AVEL engineers developed an innovative design that dramatically improves moisture resistance—one of the key features that sets AVEL built-in TVs apart from standard televisions. Their waterproof performance is verified by an IPX4 certificate issued by an accredited test laboratory.
To protect the internal circuitry from moisture and external influences, AVEL uses several engineering measures:
- toughened glass screen
- sealed TV casing
- reliable insulation at cable connection points
- vibration speakers in place of traditional speaker grilles
The result is a solid, seamless device with no visible gaps or weak points. Throughout manufacturing, AVEL maintains strict quality control at every stage, following international standards. Each TV undergoes a rigorous multi-step internal QC process before leaving the factory.
How the IPX4 Waterproof Test Works
To verify water-resistance, each AVEL built-in TV model undergoes a certified IPX4 laboratory test. The setup includes a vertical stand with a rotating platform that holds the TV securely in place. During the procedure, the TV rotates around its axis to ensure all sides are exposed.
Above the TV, an arc-shaped tube fitted with closely spaced nozzles delivers controlled water jets. The tube rotates horizontally—similar to a jump rope motion—spraying the device from all angles. This ensures the TV withstands splashing water from any direction, meeting the strict requirements for IPX4 certification.
During the test, the rotating nozzles direct water jets across every area of the TV’s surface, continuously splashing the unit from multiple angles. The TV remains powered on and fully operational for the full 10-minute procedure. Water is delivered at a rate of 5.3 liters per minute with pressure ranging from 50 to 150 kPa, meeting the strict requirements of the IPX4 waterproof standard.
Once the test is completed, AVEL engineers carefully disassemble the unit and perform a detailed inspection of all internal components. This ensures no moisture penetrated the casing and confirms the product meets both safety expectations and AVEL’s internal quality benchmarks.
The entire AVEL built-in TV lineup has successfully passed rigorous electrical safety testing under various external conditions. Each model is certified to the IPX4 protection level, an internationally recognized standard that verifies resistance to water splashes from any direction. This certification further reinforces AVEL’s commitment to safety, reliability, and long-term performance in high-humidity environments.
AVEL TV Panel Installation Locations
Thanks to their advanced moisture protection, AVEL televisions can be safely installed in a wide range of high-humidity and water-adjacent environments. Suitable installation locations include:
- Kitchens
- Outdoor areas (when placed under a sunshade and operated in temperatures above 0°C)
- Saunas and baths (AVEL TVs have passed high-temperature testing)
- Hot and cold shower areas
- Hammams
- Swimming pools
This versatility makes AVEL TVs an ideal choice for both residential and commercial spaces where standard televisions cannot reliably operate.
Water splashes will not damage AVEL televisions; however, outdoor placement is recommended only during warm weather conditions. For swimming pools, the ideal installation point is within a wall section near the water’s surface, where the TV is protected yet fully viewable. Frequent splashing will not affect performance.
That said, AVEL televisions are not designed for full underwater immersion, so they should never be installed on the bottom or fully submerged sections of a pool wall.
A single drop of water on a standard household TV can lead to serious consequences, including short-circuited internal contacts, damaged wiring, or even electrical shock. Waterproof AVEL televisions eliminate these risks. Engineered for safety and built to withstand moisture, they offer dependable performance in environments where water is present. Choose AVEL for peace of mind and a more comfortable, worry-free experience in any wet or humid space.
